All the island accommodation gives you a Phi Phi resort near the beach. Most of the inhabited Phi Phi Don Island is mountain or cliff so all the resorts are squeezed down on to beautiful beaches under a coconut canopy and tropical sun.
Most of the Phi Phi resorts near the beach are at Phi Phi Don Village and the beaches along the coast to the island school. The northern Bay is Loh Dalum and enjoys timeless views out through to the Phang Nga Bay. On this beach the 4 star Phi Phi Island Cabana Hotel and the 2 star Phi Phi Viewpoint Resort are actually on the beach and the very popular and well-reviewed. PP Casita sits just 70 meters back from the sea's edge. The Phi Phi Viewpoint Resort has some Bungalow Fan Seaview Hillside accommodation that is some of the cheapest going for the traveller on a budget while the resort enjoys a pool and beachfront restaurant. The southern side of Phi Phi Don Village is Tonsai Bay. This side is the natural deep-water harbour where the ferries arrive from Phuket Krabi and Koh Lanta. Starting at the Tonsai Cliffs there are over 12 beach front resorts, all with views out south to Phi Phi Ley. Of note are the Mama Beach Residence, the Phi Phi Island Cabana Hotel as above, Phi Phi Banyan Villa and the Andaman Beach Resort. The Phi Phi Island Cabana Hotel is famous for straddling both the north and south bays and is the primary luxury resort in the Phi Phi Don Village. Two last resorts of note are the PP Palmtree Resort which is 90m back from the beach. The Palmtree Suite is the finest suite out side the Phi Phi Island Cabana Hotel. The simpler but well located Phi Phi hotel is just 100 meters from the main dive pier and popular with divers. Long Beach Phi Phi resort near the beachLong beach gives you a different atmosphere again though all accommodation is on the main beachfront overlooking the coral reef, shark point and dazzling views of Phi Phi Ley. Phi Phi The Beach Resort, Paradise Pear Resort, PP Blue Sky Resort and the Paradise Resort can be booked at the Long Beach Resorts. Pak Nam Phi Phi resort near the beachPak Nam Beach is something relatively new to Phi Phi Island. Pak Nam beach is very remote and appeals to those who enjoyed Thailand the way it was back in the 1980s, i.e. remote, simple and quiet. The resorts have thin beaches on the base of a beautiful natural forest and, hugging the land and the lower slopes, enjoys views over to Krabi mainland and the islands of Bamboo and Koh Lanta. The coral reef runs for 6km along the entire eastern edge of Phi Phi Don. The resorts are Phi Phi Relax Beach Resort and Tohko Beach Resort. Luxury Phi Phi resort near the beachThe Laem Tong and Loh Bagoa beaches are where the luxury Phi Phi resorts on the beach are located. The 5 and 4 star, respectively, Zeavola Phi Phi Resort, Holiday Inn Phi Phi Island and Outrigger Phi Phi Island Resort and Spa (previously Phi Phi Island Village Resort And Spa) command excellent positions on the beach front and enjoy strong popularity and excellent reviews. All 3 offer something different. The 5 star Zeavola is a boutique resort of private villas. The Holiday Inn Phi Phi Island is a larger resort of cottages set amongst the coconut trees and the Outrigger Phi Phi Island Resort and Spa sits on it's own private beach. All have spas, dive centres, pools and some excellent restaurants to try out some local sea food.
