Overview of Bamboo Island Camping

Few make the journey out to Bamboo Island and stay overnight and this gives this trip a special uniqueness, a remote Phi Phi Island experience, something memorable.

Bamboo Island is a near circular island some 700 meters across and it lies to the far north of Phi Phi Don near the vertical Mosquito Island. The views from Bamboo Island are 360 degrees and give you a great perspective on Laem Tong Phi Phi Don and the Krabi coastline, Phra Nang, the island Phang Nga Bay.

Camping on Bamboo Island is not for everybody but will appeal to those who enjoy some adventure, loves a sunset, night sky and nature and doesn't mind the simple things in life.

Bamboo island is ringed by a coral reef some 50-100 meters off shore. There are many hard coral, the occasional turtle and the island is on the migratory route of the sail fish of the sword fish family.
