I did a quick snorkel at Long beach and took this picture at Viking bungalows near long beach. The window of perfect weather only lasted 6 hours. Rain again.

The weather has been a bit changeable in the last few days.
There has been some strong winds from the tail end of a cyclone thousands of miles away in the Philippines and this has given waves on the ferries and some rainy days.
The island was busy before the Full Moon party in koh Phangan but became alot quieter on about the 14th.

The last coule od days it has been wet on Phi Phi island with rain most of the day. This is real wet season weather...the monsoon on Phi Phi.

It's gone a bit quieter this last few days with almost nobody on the main beaches. It's that quieter time before the high season on Phi Phi when there can be almost nobody around and then at night every body meets up at one or other bar and the place is packed. Everybody has gathered my magic in one place. I like these nights more than high season nights as you get to see all the local divers and the divers returning to work.
The weather has been a mixture of rain for an hour or so and 2-3 hours of brilliant sunshine.
A cool time to be on phi phi.
